Can I purchase an AppleCare Protection Plan for refurbished products?

You can purchase an AppleCare warranty plan only if you buy an Apple product that is refurbished and sold by the Apple Store. 

If you want to buy an AppleCare warranty, make sure to filter products refurbished only by Apple Store when browsing RefurbMe. Then, select the device you are interested in and pick the one sold by the Apple Store:

Is the AppleCare plan included with the device?

The AppleCare plan on a refurbished product is optional. Once you select the product you want and click on “Buy now”, you will be redirected to the Apple Store page. Don't forget to add your AppleCare plan to your order—if you want it.
